What is the difference between the Base, Pro, and Elite plans?

Leland offers three tiers of coaches in order to match you with the best coach for your budget and goals. Base coaches tend to be earlier in their careers and newer to Leland’s platform, but still vetted through our thorough vetting process and incredibly helpful. Pro coaches tend to have more experience and have to have a proven track record on Leland. Elite coaches are the best of the best, and tend to be professional coaches with hiring manager, admissions committee, or other top tier backgrounds.

How does Leland vet the coaches on the platform?

Leland has an incredibly high bar for coaches on the platform, accepting less than 10% of coaches who apply. Coaches are required to come from elite educational and/or industry backgrounds, and receive vouches from several past clients before we approve them. While there are ranges of experience levels, all coaches are thoroughly vetted and high-quality.

How does coach matching work?

After subscribing, you’ll fill out an in-depth coach matching form where you’ll tell us more about you, your goals, and what matters to you in your coach. Our team takes that information to our coach matching team and selects the best coach for you. After you give the thumbs up, you’ll then be able to get started with your coach.

Can I switch coaches if the coach I’m matched with isn’t a fit?

Absolutely. We want to make sure you find the best coach for you and are confident that our matching system will do that. However, if at any moment you’d like to switch, we are happy to help you find a new coach.

Can I use sessions with another coach?

Yes! You can transfer your sessions to another coach, even if you aren’t wanting to switch your primary coach. This can be helpful for people looking for a second perspective before interviews or applications.

Can I add more sessions or switch tiers after I sign up?

Yes! If you need additional time, you can easily add coaching time to your balance throughout the month for the same cost as your initial coaching session. Additionally, if you’d like to work with a coach at a different tier, we can help you switch tiers as well.

What happens to unused sessions?

Coaching hours included in your subscription or purchased as additional time are good for 60 days. That means that if you are on the 4 hours per month plan and you only use 3 hours, you'll still have another 30 days to use the 4th one. However, you will still receive 4 new hour credits as you start the next monthly billing period.

What’s the cancellation or refund policy?

We’re committed to making sure you have a world-class experience on Leland. To that end, we will help you switch coaches as many times as you need in order to find the right fit. As long as you submit in a cancellation notice 48 hours before you are billed for future month, we will be able to cancel and refund.
